Web Design and Development

Welcome to the new ZenBits. This site has been created using mainly W3C standards and open source technologies. This implementation is articulated through an existing set of well documented open source technologies, known collectively on the server side as LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).

Front End

The visual presentation of this page was acheived using XHTML 1.0 and a CSS 2.1 three column liquid layout. Both the XHTML and the CSS have been validated using the World Wide Web Consortium's online Validation Markup Service. This validation status may be confirmed by clicking on the corresponding icon at the bottom of the page.

Back End

This site is hosted on a shared Linux machine using Apache 1.3.42 as the http server. Server side JAVA is implemented using Resin v2.1. Database Engine is MySQL 5.1.54-community.PHP is 5.2.14
